October Activities

More yummy bread from John the baker - this is whole wheat

This is Dinkelsauerteigbrot - or spelt sourdough bread; dinkel is a wheat species here in Central Europe, "spelt" in English or "farro" in Italian;

This is cracked rye with yoghurt

Preparing the mini breakfast buffet before the seminar on teaching children

A humorous skit demonstrating what you don't want to happen when you teach a Bible lesson

 Unruly, "bored", hyperactive kids; unprepared teacher

Group work - each group preparing a lesson from different well-known Bible passages

Sigrid's creations

Last year's bumper crop of walnuts

This year's pitiful produce - two little boxes-full

That time of year again - the falling leaves

The little old man and the little old lady working hard without any children to help!

New heating units - one in the dining area

and one in Zach's room (after all those years of freezing to death)

 I got the last page of instructions for my block-of-the-month quilt while I was in the States; finished sewing all the borders on

The quilt top is done - but a quilt is not a quilt until it's quilted.  I may have to have this professionally done - it's huge!
