After much suspense and drama (an ongoing series of unfortunate events!), we had finally accepted the reality that Zach had missed getting a "Preis" by one point!!! Only to discover this morning in the newspaper that he had in fact received a "Preis". How that happened is still a great mystery, but when I went into the school this morning to turn in Zach's July bus pass, I did ask if maybe the reporting in the paper was a mistake. The secretary confirmed that Zach had indeed achieved academic honors.
Visitors this past Wednesday - our friends who now live in Singapore
On Monday one of our young families (with 4 children) began the construction of their house - a "pre-fab" building. The truck brings in the components, and the crew puts it together like a puzzle.
